1199 Rear Suspension Support / Brace...

  1. Morning All,

Just a quick one to see if anyone has any experience of the Sato Racing rear suspension support for the Panigales??

I understand this is engineered and manufactured to reduce the amount of stress that is put through the suspension mounting bolts which it appears that a number have failed and resulted in at least one fatality due to this.

I have obviously found the product online and just went to order one off their website, however I cannot check-out as no delivery options are available to the UK :(

A quick scan of Ebay, shows I can get one but the postage is extortionate... Screen shot below...

Just wondering if there are alternative products available over here in the UK or if there are any US members that may be able to assist me in purchasing one and getting it to the UK with reasonable postage costs?

    Ben.

  2. I’ve seen this on here before someone definitely had one from the US.

I think the bolt in question was changed out on a recall on earlier models.

  3. As above; it was a recall on a select batch of early (2012 possibly 13?) 1199 where they had the wrong strength bolts.

  4. Thanks chaps, I will double check with Italia Moto to see if my Tricolore was within the recall batch and check this has been complete if so...

I'm guessing that if the correct Spec Bolt is in place, this isn't an issue to be concerned about then?

  5. The race bikes don’t have them as far as I know

  6. There are stacks of Panigales racing these days and even more tracking them and I've only seen one or two of these things being used.

  7. Thanks Chaps, that's helped ease my mind on the issue. Thanks for your input :)
