Hi everyone! Has anyone noticed how long is the rear wheel free play when in gear and on the stand?(engine off) Mine seems long but maybe its in my head.The wheel turns about 6-7 cm. is this normal? cheers!
Is this purely chain slack, or are you saying the wheel turns that far on the hub with the nut loose ? If it is the former then check your chain adjustment, and also wear. Not sure how far my wheel rotates, but could be that far if it is the latter then Your wheel is fitted incorrectly ! the drive pegs need to go into the holes in the wheel.
Cheers John W I took your advise into consideration and met up with another multi owner and mechanic. its seems that it was all in my mind. They assured me that the free play is OK and similar to his own multi. At the beginning i thought that it was the chain that was loose but it was ok since i changed both chain and sprockets 5-6 weeks ago. Thanks
multiman, if you changed the chain and sprockets, they may have bedded in a bit and need readjusting. Just a thought.
