Any special tools required to remove rear wheels on 1299 ? tia Cannot check as haven’t got bike yet .
Paddock stand ideally with a wheel stop handle, 55mm socket, torque wrench capable of at least 230nm's, breaker bar, (or an impact torque wrench), lithium grease, snips and a tie-wrap or lock wire..
Get a reaaaaaally long breaker bar!! Some arsehole must have used an impact gun or a silverback gorilla to put wheel nut on. I had to use massive breaker, a pipe and nearly 100Kgs of british meat to get the thing to budge!
If your bike has a quick-release axle, before removing the rear bike wheel, you should begin by shifting into the hardest gear. Examine the quick-release axle to discover if your wheel has gone loose or has just dropped out. Before you begin, keep in mind that your chain must be at the smallest gearing and your brakes must be engaged.
55mm bi-hex socket. https://www.tooled-up.com/draper-3-...6_1689602172_050a1061f95c9fa15db04913d85ba9b2 One of these https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-cew1000-electric-impact-wrench/
