749 Rear Wheel Spacers

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Spjallen, Jun 5, 2015.

  1. As some of you might know I had a bearing failure at snett and I need to sort this out 100% why. People are offering the spacers as a possible solution which seems very plausible. Could any of you confirm exactly how you arrange your rear wheel please.

  2. The spacers in the cush drive/sprocket carrier matter as well. The inside one can fall out on removal of the carrier.

  3. My spacer on the right side is flat and sits flush. Should it be a conical shape?

  4. operator error......:upyeah:

  5. Mmm. I think I might go and have a recce

  6. I know what's wrong with the rear axle. I have three different sprocket carriers. One has a conical spacer and the other have flat ones - inside not the larger external one. With the conical one the wheel spins freely ( and with that hight tq for the res axle) sorted. Now to get the correct spacer for the other two carriers. Ffs.

  7. Can't you just swap the spacer when you change the carrier?

  8. If I can get it out! Need a few spare anyway.

  9. The conical one comes out very easily on my sprocket carrier.
