got a couple of snappy ones dont use mains anymore. go all day drop em throw them fit in yer pocket. bullet proof.
Haven't bought it yet - its on my list for next time I visit Screwfix for bits and bobs but this one appears to be a good buy. Decent reviews from tradesmen too... Rechargeable Portable 4.4Ah Li-Ion LED Site Light 10W | LED Site Lights | Screwfix.com I was looking for the same thing and it's the only one I have found at a decent price with everything I wanted LED so won't burn you like the old bulb holders when you are hanging upside down under the bike or car bonnet, charges from 12v or mains, 3 to 4 hour run time, Lith Ion battery. Only downside is that it doesn't appear to work directly from the mains which is a shame, but can't have everything I suppose.
I want it mainly for the campervan. I'm replacing all my old fuel lines at the minute. Just in time too as they disintegrate as soon as I touch em. Spent the weekend covered in petrol. Done the parts in the engine bay, now doing the stuff under the bus to the tank.
ready for everyday use. i rebuilt the carb and cleaned and replaced all the shitty bits too. Also changed fuel pump. Just systematically doing the typical failure points. Compression test later and that better be balanced or else its getting a 2332cc air cooled lump and the 1198 may get sold to fund it.
Bootsam You ruled out using a headlight, I mean like the climbers and walkers use? LED Lenser make some nice stuff or look for a bicycle LED front light, plenty China cheapies. I'm sure some would also come with a headstrap attachment. Its just a thought as I have an admittedly quite expensive bicycle front lamp that came with a headstrap and the power is impressive, but there are a lot of cheap yet very powerful front light options. Being a big market lots of competition so prices fall. I'd check out the bay of fleas, just a thought John
no my everyday is a Saab. But I want it to be as reliable as fuck. She will be driving it too and she cannot fix things on the side of the road like I can.
Sealey Cordless 21 + 5 UV LED Rechargeable Inspection Lamp Lithium-ion LED2105UV | eBay bought this. dont need the UV bit but you never know. maybe one day.
Ive been a gold AA member for nearly 20yrs. Plus with my insewerance at £90 fully comp I get free breakdown with it too. I dont need UV but it might be handy when i do and dont have one. Wish I had a car lift though and a garage big enough to fit the bus in. As it is my garage is full of tools and ducati's. Oh and an old vespa.
geg do a belter, a wee mobile ramp lifts cars and vans to waist height, work's very well as a bike lift too. single phase so just plug it in to the wall no bother. had campers on mine. don't think you need special concrete due to the way it spreads the load. garage equipment group..GEGmr30.
I havent got a garage big enough. I'd have to slam the bus big time just to fit it in. Thats with the garage empty. Which reminds me, i need to buy knee pads. After this weekend of kneeling on millions of pebbles all day I need to buy some. My knees feel rough.
Thats the plan for next year. I have to do the bathroom this year, then the flat is sorted for selling. I live inside the M25 so even a shed needs a lottery win.
city=money=no commuting i hate commuting. I'm 10mins walk from the office. But in essence what you say is correct. Unfortunately I like the south east as its warm(er) and close to everything. Besides if we went north, she'd wanna go to Nottingham where her family all are. Fuck that. They're great and all that but they're great because they are miles away. What I need is a wealthy fella who needs a 100% honest and reliable chap to look after his toys. Now that would be my ideal job. As long as he didnt mind getting the piss ripped out of him 24/7.
i am 30 miles out of town and takes me less time to get in than it did to cross Aberdeen 3mls. so to sumerise your looking for a wealthy fella that wears chaps and make a living by servicing his toy. i'm sure theirs lots of that going on in London.
