Looking to chop my mini one in for a car with a bigger boot. Been looking at the clubman and countryman as my driveway isn’t huge but they don’t seem to be that “cheap”. Don’t care what year or how many owners just needs to be reasonably low mileage and a nice boot for three muddy dogs (preferably petrol and manual gears). Budget circa 15k including p/x What are my decent options good car people? Cheers
the subaru's seem to have a loyal following amongst farm and dog folk... ive got a crusty alpina touring for load lugging duties and the dog stays in the passenger footwell though
v70 or 850 (only if youre a car nut) outback or legacy yeti octavia all well within budget and then some
Thanks for the suggestions. I know a Volvo is too wide for my drive as that would have been my first choice too I think. Got a Skoda dealers round the corner from me so will pop in and have a nosey. Again think it’s going to be a struggle to park and actually remove myself from it without having to climb out the boot lol.
Kia Sportage. Dont laugh 1.6 diesel hybrid. 136 bhp, 7 speed dct. Buy from dealer for remainder of 7 year warranty. Ignore the snobbery involved with badges. Love mine. Quick, decent mpg (45ish). quiet and comfortable. Dual climate etc. Drives like an expensive car. Just had a two years old service…”come back in two years or 30’000 kilometres..
Haha my Norma always sits on the front seat with me and the other two go in the boot happily, god bless them but a recent holiday/road trip has confirmed this isnt "do-able" going forwards (we did a 5 hour road trip to wales on that hottest day of history or whatever) I have to be honest i love my mini and if i could get a different model that suited my requirements it would be great but I dont think its going to hapoen)
I thought of that but my mini is an old model (not even got bluetooth lol) and i cant even get a dog rail from halfords to fit it. I also tried to get a hook for a bike trailer a year or two ago but they dont do one to fit that either apparently. I think its time to chop in and its been a fabulous runner for my first car tbf, cant recommend them enough really for a new driver. Its only done 39k too which isnt bad for a 10 year old car! (If anyone wants to match the £3900 ive been offered as p/x for it they are more than welcome!)
