Hi all, Powder coater needed, Quality over price, preferably in the south and preferably M4 corridor / South West. Its for a Frame and sub frames.. I've heard good things about Redditch blasting and also Classic coatings up in Leicester. Any others and anything less northern? Also, as the bike is non standard and will be having Supermono Clothes, I'm open to suggestions on different colours to the standard pale gold. Wheels are shiny gold Marchesinis. Bike will be red. I'm tempted by white and also a richer campagnolo gold.. Suggestions? Cheers all
I can recommend Procoat just outside Newbury. Excellent quality and a real nice bunch of blokes. They do all powder coating for Aston Martin which should be an indicator of their quality. I've had loads of stuff done by them and never had any complaints. Index of /
I can highly recommend Griff's Reality Motorworks in Bristol. I've had a frame and wheels done on separate occasions and the results were both really good, they're bikers and don't do industrial stuff or garden furniture etc., and more to the point they take pride in their work and really care. index They also do much more besides, check out the website. The wheels I had done in standard gloss black last year and it was £60 per wheel including blasting and powdercoating.
TPCS Magnesium and Alloy Refurbishing Steve Turner (near Devizes) is really good, especially for wheels but other items as well.
Cheers Drinky, I go past Newbury twice a day at the moment so that's really useful! Website dead though Thanks for the devizes one Pete, I'll check it out. Rich, thought Red might seem a bit too modern...
The Stickers / plates on the frame were gone before I got it. I'm having it blasted and re done as I've had the dreaded cracks round the headstock welded up. Of course, it will have a matching powdercoated frame brace on it as well
Redditch shotblasting did my frame. Mine is the one on the left of the two so it gives an idea of colour match. It is a few shades darker but not that much.
I have used Classic coatings in Grantham (same company) for frame & wheels and I am very happy with the result. They masked all the openings properly and left the frame no. intact.
What about redmax? They offer this, don't they and they are just on the southeast southwest border...
