Hey My bikes chain has little rust spots appearing, i'm a bit pertubed by this as i've only owned it 6 weeks, bought from a dealer and it wasn't cheap, 3500 miles, i've done less than 100 dry miles on it. The chain appeared to be bone dry when i got it (but without rust). I've lubed it once but obviously i need to clean/lube it more often with it rusting already, lubing it by pushing it around to access different parts of the chain was a PITA. So can someone recommend me a rear paddock stand please (prefer a budget option) that works without modifications to the bike. I've never used 1 before but they look simple enough to use. I've seen these on Ebay : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325028285859 thoughts?
See if you can find a DP or Gubellini one second hand. They are simple to use and hold the bike steady while allowing you to rotate the wheel. I believe those suitable for 1*98 /Panigale 1*99 would also suit V4. Here's one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256038009911
How about a wheel roller if you only need to keep the chain clean, there are cheaper version on the inter web. https://www.halfords.com/motoring/m...es/tru-tension-wheel-roller-stand-584422.html
Yes it's only needed for chain lubing, didn't even know things like that existed so thankyou. I've bought this 1 from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N1S9IBE hope it works ok being cheap, if not i'll return it and get the 1 you suggested. Thanks, i've bought a wheel roller now as suggested above but i still wouldn't mind a paddock stand, i'll keep my eye out for 1 of those makes 2nd hand, that 1 is a bit far for me to collect.
thx guys, anyone have a link to a harris paddock rear stand for a ducati V4 that's available to buy? my google searches bring nothing.
