Just got my project 1299S bike/bitsa, which from this day forward, will now be refered to/know as "The Money Pit " And One of pads missing, but more importantly, the seller never plugged the bolt inlet, so covered in brake fluid. Also, need new battery, Really want a lithium or Lithium-oin one .(Not sure if same or different?) But that means more money spend, because I apparently will also need to buy a "Special????" Charger for it after only buying a new Oxford charger last December.
Brake pads. I've always noticed improvement using EBC HH. Now I know that the OE pads are HH rated but the EBC have always required less effort for the same braking. Just had a DVT Multi S and couldn't believe how poor the brakes were compared to my 1199S (same M50's). Put in EBC HH's and noticed improved feel and reduced brake effort at the lever. Was the same with my Yamaha's too!
My mate tells me the brembo Carbon pads are awesome, he reckons there better than the ebc pads he used to run
