848 Recommend Me Some Hand Grips Please!

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by Coffey, May 16, 2018.

  1. Hey all, looking to change my OEM hand grips, looking for something maybe a touch larger in diameter, maybe a little comfier. Read up a little and some people seem to recommend the below pro grips? So firstly will they fit? I think so! Secondly are they any good (they seem cheap) or can you recommend something else? Thanks!! Adam.

  2. Pete1950 seems to like Grip Puppies, I think you can slide them over the original ones giving a larger diameter and comfort.

  3. Can vouch for Pro grips, they are dual compound with softer compound on the outside and so help a little with absorbing vibration.
I think they replace the original sleeves rather than go over the top though.

  4. If you're looking for something a bit bigger / more comfy, I think @bootsam fitted some grip buddies to his 1198. I don’t know how he got on with them.

  8. Bought a set of Pro Grips for the Panigale and Mrs M's monster following seeing many recommendations for them on here and will be fitting them this time home all being well... They looked like 'just the job' when they arrived the morning before I headed back this trip :)

  9. They are good, Ben. Had them both on the 848 and 998 and have a much better feel than the std jobbies!

  10. Great stuff, thanks for the replys folks! Will go for the ones in the link above I think, alhough will have a measure, they are 125mm and the ones above that Sam74 has are 122mm so guess will go for the closest to oem. Off the back of that, are they easy to fit? Going to change the bar ends whilst I am at it, the little half round oem ones look a little ... er ... silly o_O imo! Thanks folks!

  11. True.

  12. I like them and the race bikes use them as well. They're cheap and easy to replace when you scratch them, too.
