Could anyone please recommend a sensibly priced electric polisher for the motorcycle please. There are so many on the market, hard to know where to start.
I had my bike paint jobbed and then PPF’d. A quick wipe down and polish brings it back to absolutely mint looking again. No need for an electric polisher anymore. I can send it ‘over arm’ into the river. Or perhaps swing it overhead by it’s flex for greater distance…. Ooomph yer fugga!!!
No idea mate as there’s loads of brands. I’d say check out detailing world and see what’s hot https://www.detailingworld.co.uk/
After lots of research I went for a DAS6 pro with various sized green pads and 'scholl S20' compound - this apparently starts quite abrasive and gets finer so is great for a novice like me. I've used this on my Monster, van and car and the results are really good. Dual action is better as there's less chance to burn through your paintwork.
Motorbikes are pretty unique to the detailing world , basically a load of awkward shapes and hard to reach places, if you watch any YouTube clips of pro detailers they always use a small 1 and 2 inch pads, 4 5 and 6 pads are fine for the large car panels but for a bike and intricate car areas then one of these is the way to go . https://www.carboncollective.com/pr...MIkfStk4-Y-AIVkhWLCh14SQbzEAQYAiABEgJ-AfD_BwE
Non CC branded version of the above - https://www.amazon.co.uk/SPTA-Cordless-Polisher-Scratches-polishing/dp/B08CTVQ35X - is exactly what I used on my bike (thread here) DAS6Pro is a solid choice though, I went for this instead. I'm sure the money you spend on the likes of Rupes is worth it, but not justifiable at hobby level for me
