Hi I need some advice (other than 'what's a back brake?'). My new Pikes peak (read DVT for the purpose of this post) has a back brake that a) is miles better than the back brake on the 2010 multi I had but b) nowhere near as good as it should/could be. I'm looking for a brake pedal extender that I can buy in the UK. I told the dealer I should be able to make the ABS kick in on the back brake if I wanted to (as an example of how much better it needs to be) so, after he'd confirmed the brake didn't need bleeding, the mechanic got on my bike and made the ABS kick in straight away saying 'just needs a harder press'. Now he looks like a rugby prop forward and I don't. So, I've decided he's actually right but a) rather than spend a year in the gym building my leg muscles up and b) because my boot is rubbing the clutch cover due to the fact I have to 'toe-in' to reach the back brake pedal (see my other post), I've also concluded that the the answer is a brake pedal extender. That wil allow more 'leverage' and get my boot to clear the clutch cover. I can see Revzilla do one but seems to be only in the USA ( https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle...ke-system-ducati-multistrada-1200-s-2010-2017 see 'brake extender only) with a hefty price tag on the shipping. Any ideas for a back brake pedal extender available in U.K./Europe? Any sensible help really appreciated!
I concluded the same, the positioning is pretty useless, there was some discussions on here but not sure of the outcome, I elected to not using it other than stopping in slow moving traffic. I fitted a kick stand foot plate extender to my 899, just wondering if something like that would work? http://www.rg-racing.com/browsebike/Ducati/899_Panigale/2014/PKS0076SI/
Hi I made one up myself - I posted on here before - but here are the photos again. Sort of the opposite of the one on Revzilla Basically a flat plate and a bit on angle on back and underneath. A bent Stainless washer at front underneath and 3 screws About 3 to 4 hours F*** About. Just bolts around pedal - works well - maybe a bit long? I had a break in my leg about 12 years ago from a bike accident and my right foot is rotated maybe 5 degrees - so almost impossible for me to get it in on the standard pedal.
A friend of mine had the ducati enduro brake pedal fitted as he struggled with the normal one. Seems to work well.
