998 Reg/rec

  2. Not tried one but I have dealt with this eBayer before, although I cannot remember what I bought!!, but I had no problem with the quality of the item.

    For that price I would say it's worth buying one just to see.

  4. Or better still, stump up for a Mosfet reg/rec and fit it, forget it and never worry about it again.

  6. Interesting what people find/say.

    Looking at price, and being brand new I've ordered the number 21 ( Chinese jobby he he) as can't see anything better for the money, just for a back up.

  7. don't use shunt types ( SH prefix). Use mosfet ones for more usable watts and cooler running (prefix FH).
    You can get those for £65 brand new or use used ones from modern yamaha/honda.
