just thought i will share my experience. when i bought my 41 year old 911 it come with 3 keys. ignition, glove box and doors. obviously over the course of its life previous owners lost the keys and rep[laced the locks. rather annoying to carry 3 sets of keys, so i called porsche and they quoted £850+vat for full set of locks with the single key. so i thought - fuck it. can't be that difficult to sort it. followed instructions on pelican parts, 4 hours of my time and wow! all locks now working from the single ignition key! not sure if this is useful for anyone? just in case...
Maybe a different thread needed but I've been noticing how quick the advertising on this site is catching up with my cookie's for a while now, but this has got to be the fastest ever advert changed, good old @yev adds a thread with Porsche locking, key supplement, buy the time I read and scroll down 2 replies, the lower advert says "do you need a locksmith?, Bridgwater ok?" OMG bloody adverts/cookie's
Pics of the 911 please! I came ==><== that close to buying an 03 plate 996 about 18 months ago, but bought my Benelli and put the change away towards a house instead (a better decision by far) I still think about the 911 which got away though, I will own one eventually.

Having a classic Porsche myself the only good thing I can say is that at least parts are still available despite it's age and the time out of production. However the price rises over the years of the older cars parts has become quite ridiculous. I needed a new heater relay and it was about £90 from Porsche, fortunately my independent garage got me a second hand one, but that was still £50.
1986 Model - 944. Bought when two years old and still only with 57,000 miles on it. Too precious to part with and probably not worth an awful lot now. Condition is almost like new.
