Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by NineWhileNine, Jul 14, 2024.

  1. Evening all,
As the title says, can you help me with the removal of said bolts as mine are mullered and I have replacements and an Evotech Quadlock holder to install.
Hopefully I can attach a pic for clarification...
Picture will have to wait until tomorrow.
    Cheers
    Dave

  2. They are anti theft bolts, they will need to be drilled out. Then new ones can be fitted

  3. They don’t need drilling out. You can use the 2 nut method to wind them out, or, if they are mullered some mole grips. You may find threadlock has been used on them so molegrips may be quicker. Use the 2 nut method to put the new ones in.

  4. New ones have an allen hex drive that shears off when fully tightened.
No need to use the two nut method.

Well I managed to do it with the two nut method and got the the phone holder in place. Out for a spin and 50 miles later, all good.
