Hi the bungs in the standard S4 system seem to be round and not Allen key. I haven’t directed anything in there, yet.... Are they Allen key and can they be removed? If not what the point?!
Why do you want to remove them? If no lambda is fitted or required just leave well alone. If you do need to remove them and there is no means of using a spanner or key. If you can get on the bung, use a Stilson pipe wrench and a bit of localised heat.
I want to see if I can switch one out from the standard pipe to the new decat one I’ve bought for now so I can fit it
Yeah, managed to get a 5 into the bung by tapping with rubber mallet but felt it would round before moving. I’ll fit the system and get one later. I’m just struggling to find the right size as the m18 looks too large, I think that is for the lambda sense or blaming rather than the small hole the system also has. Measured across 8.6mm iirc
Sounds like it may be a 10mm thread, worth trying an M10 screw, don’t force it it could be a fine thread.
Are you referring to the takeoff points for gas analysing? If so a 1/4" BSP blanking plug should fit.
As Chris said, it sounds like they’re the tap off points for exhaust analysis. They’re bsp thread. 5mm Allen key to remove, but if they’ve been in a while, or fitted dry, then a drill is usually required and tap out to clean the thread. If you need a new one, I’d buy one as it sounds like you’re in for some grief
Ordered earlier as I have the other issue now it’s not too bad to wait until next weekend for delivery
