There is a top tip somewhere on here on using a star drive socket to remove a rounded allen bolt, tried it last night and it worked a treat, i drilled about 5mm extra depth into the socket, tapped in it full depth, the bits are tapered which helps too. Who ever you are ta very much.
That was me Can't take credit for drilling extra depth though - even better! Just as long as you don't drill the head off that is....
Great minds think alike eh? Maybe it was your post he saw, not mine. I suggested it in response to a problem with removing a 999 battery retaining bolt - the op was seriously considering destroying the battery box... :/ Something I tried once and found to work.
Well thanks to both, i was changing low head brake caliper bolts, cheesy chocolatey things they are, the corroded little numbers had been mocking me for a while, but no longer.
