Renthal clip-ons for a 749.

  1. After a bit of a spill at Brands last year I bought a few replacement bits, including the Renthal clip-ons.
Problem is that the standard brake reservoir fouls the Renthal clamp so can't move in snug to the top of the fork. This in turn forces the switchgear & throttle further from the fork, pulling the cables with them.
I've tried re-routing the cables but with no joy.

Anyone fitted these successfully and if so, how?

    Thanks.

  2. I've fitted Cyclecat raised bars on my 999 that come with adaptors to use old stylee round reserviors. All the parts are standard Brembo as far as I know, the shaped reserviors just unbolt from inside. Then a plastic elbow with 'O' rings goes in the fluid hole. You could probably get the parts required from a breaker or ebay cheap enough to convert. the inner end of my bars are drilled and threaded to hold the bracket.
    Keith.

  3. Thanks, I think if I'm going to change the reservoirs then I'll go the whole hog & upgrade to a brembo master cylinder & lever. I do rather like the shape of the originals though, especially with their Titanium covers.
