Could anyone assist with a quick how to replace a rear caliper on my 999? Nothing wrong with the old one but picked up a Gold Brembo to match the fronts Ta Joe
Loosen the banjo bolt Undo two caliper bolts Remove banjo, catching any fluid Install new caliper Attach banjo with new crush washers Install pads Bleed system
Not being funny, but if you needed advice on how to do this then maybe changing brakes is not for you !!
Joe, there are plenty of threads on here which will advise if/when you have problems bleeding it, often the calliper needs to be held upright to make bleeding it easier. You can download a factory manual here https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/free-ducati-owner-workshop-manuals.593/page-7#post-1309624 which has the torque settings for the mounting bolts if you want them, it also has useful info for disassembly.
Put Gold ones on years ago during a service, thought they looked a bit smarter thought it was time the back matched
