I would buy a genuine blank key from a dealer, get it cut locally and then go back to the dealer to get the keys programmed. Clonning the key is not an option on a Panigale, only 2 keys can be programmed, so if you have lost a key the new key will be number 3 and won't work.
Same issue here with 1199 but actually an easy fix. I only had one black key. Three steps needed: 1, Buy a genuine Ducati blank key. I used Moto Rapido, cost about £40.00 2, Get the new key cut locally. I did find a couple of key cutters didn't want to do vehicles. 3, Back to your local dealer to code new key to the bike. I shopped around and most places said they'll do it for free as I was planning to have a bit of service work done.
Cheers guys, shall do. There do seem to be a number of specialists in the States who will clone a key so two key ones etc.
It is possible to clone the Panigale keys, you just need the correct kit to do it. They are different from the old T5 transponders used in the older keys, they use a Type 4D chip.
