Eventually got around to replacing the gear shifter spring on my 900ss carbie. Found the tail of the broken spring when I removed the crankcase/ alternator cover. It had been broken a while but shift operation was largely unaffected just a bit difficult to get into neutral sometimes. Job was a bit fiddley but not too difficult. Tested the bike today and no big difference, just bit smoother when changing gear.
