  1. I am replacing my clutch master cylinder and for the life of me cannot get the hose on if I use the clips that brembo provide.

I can get the hose onto the master cylinder and onto the res fine without the clips, but no matter if I put the clips in the middle of the pipe and try move them out, or try put the pipe on with the clips already on the ends I cannot get the pipe on or the clips to the end once already on.

    Please help :/

  2. You are compressing the clips tabs with some pliers?

  3. Yep, even making sure both wires are in between the loop when doing so.

  4. Are you using genuine tubing with the correct outer diameter?
Zooming into the photo it appears like the clips may be already “digging in” to the tube outer diameter, even before installation.

  5. I’d like to hope so, they were purchased genuine from a local MV agusta dealer using catalogue part numbers.

I do agree with you though, when looking into the pipe with the clips on, it is noticeable how much they are pressing into the pipe.

Where would be the best place to purchase hose and clips from if the ones MV have given me are not correct?

  6. They look correct and yes, they’re a pain to fit. I put the clip on to first and then push the pipe on, hold the clips open with pliers and push the pipe into the clip.

  7. Thank you! I didn't initially feel comfortable doing it, but brute force, ignorance, a pair of vice grips, a bit of swearing whilst twisting back and forth got the spring clips in place eventually :)

  8. Thank you for your assistance, I’ll bury a reminder of this thread in my head for when it comes time to replace the brake master cylinder

  9. Personally, I've never had a problem fitting them. Never needed grease or anything, just put the clip on the tube, fitted the tube, then slid the clip on using long nosed pliers.
