749 Rev Counter

  1. Hi can any body help my 749 has been sat in my kitchen for 5 months un used .tried to start it but battery has lost charge so put it on optimiser it has come back up to 12v and started but now the rev counter is not working any ideas is it due to the battery not being fully charged yet
    Any ideas as its off to italsport for belts and valve check on Thursday
    Please help thanks mat
     
  2. Has the whole dash gone?
    I lost mine a couple of weeks ago and checked the relevant fuse.
    It was fine, so I stuck it back in and everything came to life!
    I slid it in and out a few times to clean up the contact faces and it's been fine since.

  3. Yeh the rest of the dash is lit up and temp gage was climbing can you remember which fuse it was

  4. Low battery would cause this.

  5. I'm going to leave it on charge allay to get it up I'll try it later on and let ya all know

  6. When my battery is low the rev counter will stick half way on start up.

  7. I've an idea it was the furthest forward of the cluster to the right of the dash.
    It tells you in the handbook.
