Seems the owner of RichEnergy has said he is terminating the sponsorship contract with OMG race teams with immediate effect but OMG are saying this is not the case. Statements have been issued.. https://www.autosport.com/tt/news/t...ga-amid-superbikes-team-sponsorship/10340653/
This is all just ultra messy and I think probably proof that there is some money washing happening here within that team... As well as the bigger picture company... I noted that even the drinks themselves are registered as separate legal entities... so the 'sugar free' version is separate. It's all really really dodgy.
The trouble is I get a bit of a Boris feeling about Rich Energy. That you cannot believe a word??? Time will tell.
Oh look another ‘entrepreneur’ starts a company with other peoples products that he borrows millions against and ‘possibly’ funds his own lifestyle that then becomes bankrupt owing said millions with no assets. He’s not married to Rishi Sunak is he?
The Wikipedia page for Storey makes for damning reading in a couple of relatively short paragraphs. I know I shouldn’t make light of it but the due diligence checks OMG Racing said they carried out before entering into the sponsorship agreement must have been done by a 5 year old. Andy
If you look in to aspects of omg (and probably a lot of race teams) you’ll probably find they’re not exactly squeaky clean anyway..
The Rich Energy product seems only to be sold online through the likes of Amazon in small quantities. Not available in shops or bars as far as I'm aware. Very mixed reviews as to it's quality (mostly very poor). Considering its been around for over 5 years in a competitive energy drinks market, the product can only be a smokescreen for other activities, and no way could in itself fund the sponsorship it does. What the real activities of the company are for, it's surely not making and selling energy drinks imo.
Presumably this is BS seeing as they were racing at brands a few minutes ago or has there been some kind of “mutual agreement” since?
