There was a very good "Used Buying Guide" for the Multistrada 1200 covering 9 pages of pretty glowing praise. AndyW - Your site was referred to also! I really liked the comments about holding their values well, strong demand and high mileages shouldn't be viewed as a problem as the engines are so strong. All good for my immaculate old 2010 when I decide to sell.
Like you, I buy bike mags and take ages to find the chance to read them (if at all!). I was on a train the other day so read almost every word. It was actually one of the best mags I've read in a long time and with the Spain guide (pssst don't tell anyone how great Spanish roads are...)
Not a bad analysis, but will anyone really pay £9k for my 2010 S Sport with 22k miles on it? Be nice if true!
That's a really good review, thanks to Ian and Andy for scanning it. I had a free day on Saturday so I took up the offer from Premier Bikes at Didcot to test out the new KTM 1190 Adventures (both versions !). Both of them rode very well. I actually preferred the R version with the bigger front wheel and 'manual' suspension and I must admit I was tempted to make a change :Bag: ... until I rode the same test route on the way home and it reminded me why in my humble opinion the Multistrada is still the best all round bike on the market. I think I shall keep hold of mine until the Mk3 Multi turns up ! The KTM's were excellent bikes, but not better than the Ducati. NSM3 - for reference, I was offered £8-8.5k for my bike (2010 Sport - 18.5k miles) against a new 1190 which retails at just under £14k. Andy and Darren at Premier Bikes are highly recommended if anybody is in the market for a KTM. I see that they are now making a 1290cc Super Adventure for next year ! I'll have to try that out as well PP
