1260 Ride Mode Not Changing

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by **Topher**, Aug 14, 2021.

  1. What am I doing wrong,
I can’t get the ride mode to change.
    Pressing
    Settings mode
    Ride Mode
    Scroll to Touring mode
    Enter
    Back

    But won’t hold the setting

  2. Follow the guide in the owners manual. It'll get you to where you want to be.

  3. You have to hold the button down as you enter it until it stops flashing? Are you doing it on the move or standstill?

  4. double tap down??....or tap & then hold

  5. Seriously, if he can't work this out, he shouldn't be on the road. He's a danger to himself and other road users.

  7. Hold the indicator switch his down until riding modes show.
Scroll through with the right hand switch above the indicator switch.
Select the mode you require, then hold down the indicator switch until the display holds on the mode selected.
Do this with the engine running, bike stationar.

  8. ‘oo’ …. HSE Tosser no doubt!
After more than forty years riding and never stacked a bike or caused a crash … who are your to judge my riding?

  9. Manual says hold the enter button for one second .. mine needs about 4 seconds to accept the change.
    Similar to the early 1200.
Had similar issues with trying to reset the trip counter.
Then again it’s a Ducati and very quirky :)

  10. Mine sometimes has a will of it’s own as to if it goes to the riding modes or set up mode

  11. I put mine in Sport and leave it there. My right wrist controls everything else ;)

  12. You must have thr throttle closed and hold the button down.

  13. Harsh comment, and unfounded. The guys got a problem working the menus and is asking for help, that's all.

Hope I don't receive reply's like that if Im here asking for guidance.

  14. Revisiting this Thread as I have just bought a Multistrada 1260S. I previously had a Hypermotard 1100 for 12 years. The Hypermotard didn't have any riding modes etc. Like the initial Thread starter I cannot get the riding mode to change.
I have followed all the instructions in the manual and tried everything recommended on here previously.
Once I'm in the Riding Mode menu and click on Sport when I scroll through the different options I only ever have the "Back" option at the top and bottom of the menu but no "Exit" as described in the manual. Therefore it just reverts back to Touring.

PS: I have been riding on the roads for over 25 years and I am not a danger to myself or other road users.

  15. I think I know what you need to do which isn't immediately obvious - You can't change this whilst the bottom left of the dash shows settings. Scroll through to temp or something else - then go to menu using the left hand switch gear - scroll to the setting you want and then hold - then exit. It should stick . I found it on youtube .

    Cheers

    Mick

  17. Thanks Mick.
    Eventually changed to SPORT.
If anyone else reading this thread for a similar reason to me, to save you wasting time it has nothing to do with the indicator switch.
All other settings are easy to adjust - Riding Mode is a different ball game.
Haven't tried changing back to Touring!
