What's the best place to stop for scram on your fave roads? whats the worst? The best near me the Langtons garden centre great food, Melton road nr Market Harborough, the worst, A5, junction with the A444 awful beefburgers in batter, cheap burgers, cheap cheese vomitville
Is that the one on the A339 at Kingsclere? I must have visited on a bad day, the burgers were more name than substance. If anyone is in Ramsbury I recommend the small cafe at the Bell Inn, it's a bit off the beaten track but it's great for tea and cake. The Riverside Cafe at Benson is also a nice place to stop, about 5 miles away from H's Cafe.
The little coffee shop place betwixt Avebury and Calne is prety good. Needs to be a nice day and sit outside.
Route 303 Diner just north of Honiton.... funnily enough on the A303 ..... good value for money meals. Route 38 Diner south of Plymouth ....on the A38 ....surprise good Juke box. Loomies ...on the A272 regular caff type food. Clearways Diner....on the A30 just north of Salisbury, another like Loomies. Lobster Pot cafe on the end of Portland....great views and slightly expensive food but good quality.:Snaphappy: Haven't yet tried to visit all in one day ....now there's a thought:Smuggrin:
Welcome - Nelson's Diner Food is mainly deep fried but the shake menu is worth it on its own Place is bike friendly and all sorts stop by
The Blue and White cafe on the A20 outside Ashford is worth a go, and it's owned by Leon Camiers mum. The only place I don't enjoy is the Ace Cafe I'm afraid. Overpriced food and grumpy staff have been my experience. But they do host some good events so you put up with it.
Oasis Cafe in Abergavenny is pretty good, I mean the food isn't all that but the ride there is awesome and its always a good laugh.
Last Sunday I had cod and chips at the Ace, which were excellent quality and reasonable price, as it happens. The staff do struggle with speaking English sometimes - but then it is London.
Best is usually Rules in Covent Garden, if up town. The worst is The Fat Duck, gave me the squits for a week.
Greasy Joe's at Cirencester, next to Tesco (A419) OK Diner at Leominster (A49) Tuffins at Church Stoke (A489) and Craven Arms (A49) Cafe Express at Crossgates (A44) Aviator Cafe at Staverton Airport (Gloucestershire) All recommended.
Been to lots of acceptable ones, but one to miss is the burger van at Devils Bridge. Unless of course you like it to repeat on you for the rest of the day, and give you heartburn. In which case you'd be onto a winner
