I'm in the process of doing a full service on my 03, 999 and noticed the last twat to have done the valve clearances has managed to cink the rocker cover rubber gasket resulting in oil filling up the spark plug chamber. Has anyone got a rubber head/valve/rocker cover gasket they want to sell?
Just buy a new one from a Dealer, you don't know the circumstances of an old rocker cover gasket (exposure to weather, other chemicals, etc). About £14 i think (got one a couple of years ago). You'll also need some sealer to help it seal properly, i got some of that DucaBond stuff to help (as i had a leak on the front cylinder, new gasket and a thin film of goo and it's been fine since).
