ok guys after running the bike a while today for first proper run its highlighted a slight running problem when pulling off from junctions it ocassionally coughs clears its throat and then carrys on also doesn't seem to like spirited acceleration at higher speed as the engine reaches approx 5 thou revs it die's let of the throttle and gently ease it back on and it goes through it now I would normally start with cleaning the carbs but this is injection so not entirely sure what to check first did think filter in the tank but looks a twat to get at had a look at the injectors how tight in the seats should they be as they seem to be able to be moved /rotated quite easily did wonder if injector seals aged and leaking air ? also air box lid has been modified at some point and k&n filter fitted and non standard remus rear silencers so all advice greatly received oh and also piss taking lol
It's a 750 SSie, I recon it sounds like fueling, when was the filter in the tank last changed, you are right it it is a pig of a job, mine needs changing, I had a look in the Haynes manual and thought, no thanks, I'll let Baines do it when it's serviced next year. Personally I also tend to leave things as stock, so a previous owner might have buggered it up with aftermarket cans and air filter. You should be able to buy all the original bits for peanuts off fleabay.
sorry guys forgot the important bits yep your right carlos 750 ss ie cheers admit I have no idea when filter was last changed
