Does anyone know of any other dealers in the UK, apart from Crescent Suzuki (official importers) for RS Taichi. I'm half keen on the idea of new gloves. Cheers, Oli.
I can't remember the proper name of the model but I think they're RS Taichi's second best pair of race gloves, something WRX I believe.
Google just seems to point to Crescent though their website doesn't show any RS Taichi at all. Edit. Yes it does but just the GP Evo as far as I can see
If you look hard enough it does but not a vast selection to say they're the official importers lol. My problem is, I've read their sizing is a little queer and I'd really like to try some on before I buy. I'm not really arsed where I buy them from. I'd just like to try some first, as I'm sure most of us would. Edit: Yeah they've got like 4 one piece suits listed too but I haven't the money for that as well lol.
RS-Taichi only list Crescent as a dealer in the UK and considering they have never been common over here, I'd say that's your lot. Sizing wise, why not fax a hand outline on graph paper to RS-Taichi direct and ask for their opinion. If its any help, I did the same several years ago when I was after a pair of Kushitani gloves - had 5 pairs since, all a great fit :0)
Now that, sir, is a cracking idea. I've never understood why Jap clothing like Kushitani and RS Taichi isn't big over here. They're such 'cool' brands. I think I've worked out I'm an XL in their gloves but I may try your plan. Cheers for the suggestion man.
I found the RS Taichi Japanese sizes are smaller than European sizes, certainly one size and possibly two. Would Crescent send you one size to try and if its wrong offer an exchange. I have a pair of WRX gloves which I recollect came in a see through plastic zipped bag, with the gloves secured to each other with a plastic strip (similar to those used to attach price tags to new clothes), so easy to see if they have been used or not if they are to be returned. The gloves I have were made in China, not Japan, with only the top of the range stuff still make in Japan. As Bianchi says, Kushitani is top stuff, as is Hyod, but not sure why it's not available in the UK, presumably it's due to the sizing. Kushitani now make leather jackets/suits for the USA but think they have separate sizing.
