Rubber on exhaust

Ducati 996, 1999 model. Full Monty with Grunter spec. Nitron race shock, Sigma slipper clutch, polished pipes. And Termis of course.

I've just had my pipes polished on my 1999 996. And same day I picked it up I leant my rucksack on the bike and some rubber melted on the exhaust. Doh!

how do you remove rubber from a polished exhaust?

thanks for any advice...
