Hi guys, I have a full Terminology system with ECU installed from new. Gradually and for the past 2 years the bike started to misfire and I've noticed the fuel mixture is rich. Is there a way to adjust this manually without having to run a full diagnostic? Thanks, W
Clean your air filter? The mixture is adjustable but unless you can measure the CO output you won't know what to adjust...
Hopefully some late SS ie owners will pick this up as there are some issues that crop up on the subject. Apart from above a check of air bleeds/general tune wouldn't do any harm unless already done recently. I don't think the ECU is as friendly as earlier systems when it comes to mixture adjustments, I know PhilB on here has struggled to find the cause of a similar problem on his 900 despite a few trips to specialists. A couple of owners claimed to have cured similar by cleaning up the earth to the ECU body.
Thanks Chris, booked for a dyno run to see if the fuel is correct. This might help point me in the right direction. Will replace plugs and air filter beforehand.
If the bike uses the IAW15 ECU then Guzzidiag may help you set the CO/Fuel Trim, together with a Gunson Gas Analyser. Just set it to a bike using the the IAW15 like the Breva 750.
