Ok havnt been on my bike for a month or two, battery has been on a trickle charge, started it today and it struggled to turn over, miss firing, took it for a run, was ok when going fast but not firing well on low revs, clonking out What's up with it?
Could try looking at plug lead connection into coils, mine was similar and sorted out after pulling and replugging in...
Took it today still running like a bag of shit, may try changing the plugs? What plugs do people recomend?
david,mine was the same after I removed the tank,i ended up riding it for about a tank of fuel and it cleared itself. my mechanic thinks it may have been a little water in the fuel lines that blew itself through. the bike woldnt start well, wouldn't idle without a little throttle,felt a little lumpy low down but revved itself on full throttle. I never changed a thing for it to sort itself out and had only removed the tank for a general check over and tighten of fittings etc.
Ok it does smell a bit funny too as if something is over heating, but this maybe because it's just not running right There may be some moisture win the oil as we'll
