Long film that felt too short - that's a compliment. Turn the volume right up when you watch it. Hunt was a great bloke! A shame that F1 is now such a PR driven big business.
Brilliant film... Very historically accurate. Very evocative of the era ( yes, some of us are old enough to remember 1976 ). Formula 1 was totally different back them - as was the world in general. James Hunt was a true racing driver, but Lauda was an absolute hero...
I live near Towcester where the Hesketh paddock was based and am good pals with a chap who was one of the Hesketh technicians for Hunt back then……………he tells some fantastic Hunt stories generally revolving around drink, parties and shagging…. and the mechanics left to clear up the broken discarded female!!
