Hey guys I'm off to look at what seems to be a lovely 2005 S2R800 Monster and just wondered if there was anything specific to look out for. To be totally honest with you, I don't know too much about these bikes, but just looking for any pointers to keep an eye out for. Cheers guys
They have a good reliable engine really, just look out for the usual - Serving, check when the belts were last changed, etc.....
They are a good all round bike, better in some ways than the 1000. No great problems to look out for other than the general ones when buying used bikes, tyres, service history, chain/sprocket condition and so on. The suspension was soft to begin with,is unadjustable and may by a bit wallowy by now if its done a fair mileage. Is it standard or are there some subtle aftermarket add ons? A decat pipe being a good one that new buyers may not notice, especially if it still has standard cans.
