s4r

  1. hello,im getting a s4r in a couple of weeks and at the mo its got standard exhausts on ,has anyone fitted somthing a bit louder to there s4r,any comments or pics appreciated thanks.

  2. If it still has the cat fitted aka 'the cows udder' it won't make any difference. In fact you can run the bike without the end cans & it won't be much louder. To benefit from any after market exhausts such as Termis you need to fit some de-cat pipes first.

  3. thanks for the reply, would the de-cat pipes come in a kit with the exhausts,or do you get them seperate.

  4. I had a full Arrow system on mine. Great sound and beautiful finish, stainless and titanium.

  7. I've got an Quat D Ex-box, sound is beefy but not too loud. Looks are great as it opens up the single sider. Check out my photos in the album gallery ( cornish carbon S4R)

  8. s4r exhausts

Hello, exhausts look nice, going to look at bike tomoz if ok ,will arrange to pick up next week, exciting stufff hey

  9. I have the a cf termignoni system installed. Sounds is loud :-D Weight difference is also big:-D

  10. To widen your options, the cat eliminator and cans from the earlier S2R will also fit - the later S2R had a lambda sensor fitted.
My S2R has a cat eliminator and Termis from an S4R.

  11. Thanks for your replys, you have given me plenty to think about, should be picking her up next week weather permiting, roll on summer, got to make some space now in the garrage and roll out the red carpet ready for the arrival.

  13. I may have a full polished termi system with CF cans available for an S4R including headers. Ss the bike you are getting a Testa motor or a Desmo motor? I will post pics later today/tomorrow.

  17. Hello again, well i got my bike on tuesday and i love it,yesterday i took a ride up to the cat&fiddle first ride out and really enjoyed it,i dont no if this is the norm though anything under 3000rpm in any gear it feels very snatchy, lumpy, anything over that its really smooth,im wondering if its been set up for race cans and who ever had it last just chucked the standard ones back on,do you know how and where i can get it checked out,or is this normal,i live in the stoke area many thanks rog.

  18. Hi, glad you're enjoying your bike, sounds typical of the 4v engined Monsters, quick fix is a 14 tooth frons sprocket, expensive but decent fix is to get the ecu remapped and set up properly.

  19. Welcome to world of the Ducati L twin. I have owned a few 2 valve, and 3 and 4 valve engine's all the bloody same, low-down below 3000 rev's. rides like a dog ! Trying to change up or down the gears to get it right ? Its a twin. Although on the run all is forgiven. The 4 Inlines, like most jap bikes are very smooth low- down, but in my opinion boring to ride.

You can try a different sprocket size, or having a power commander fitted. it does make it slightly better. My old Aprilia mille v60 twin, is lumpy at low rev's. Wthin a few weeks one does get use to it.

  20. Thanks for your replys, ive had a sv 1000 a few years ago and couldn't remember it being that rough under 3000 rpm,but ive only had the one outing so far,and once you get onto a bit of open road its brilliant if anyone could hear me shouting as i open her up they would think id won the lottery ,im sure i will get used to it, looking forward to some sunny days
