  1. Nasty crash in FP2 at turn one with 93 collecting Zarco as he was coming out of the pits.

Bit of a shit track imo all sorts of carnage throughout the day.

    Taka absolutely destroying another Honda.

  2. Zarco coming out of the pits or Marquez coming out of the pits ? Andy

  3. Zarco mate collected by a mid crash 93.
Horrible but thankfully both look to be relatively ok.

  4. Just watched a short video on the MotoGP web site. A nasty incident which could have resulted in a lot worse. For me, it’s what happened next that I just can’t get my head around. Marquez starts running towards a live track to get to the pit lane exit with barely a glance at Zarco, who was laid out on the edge of the track. He showed not one ounce of humanity, just focussed on getting back for his spare bike. Andy

  5. Clearly not his fault in this particular incident but…
He’s a danger to himself and others and has been for far too long. Whether you blame the bike for that or the fact he’s a bit wreckless I guess depends on wether you commentate on bt sport or not lol
How many riders have the other Honda riders taken out like he has (maliciously or otherwise)
I’m going with none although happy to have my memory refreshed.

  6. I actually did a double take when they showed Zarco walking back into the pits. He is a very, very lucky man.

Deff not MM’s fault but his lack of care for Zarco as he ran back to the pits was shocking.

  7. Clearly Marquez is unhappy with the bike he is riding this weekend, the BT commentary team were explaining how the bike appears to slide more into turns than he expects and he gets caught out when the bike snaps back. The turn one crash seemed to be the front end tuck under braking, although I wonder if his eye was taken by Zarco and he missed his braking point. Does seem to me to be a ridiculous location for a pit lane exit into turn one. What shocked me was Marquez’s apparent single mindedness on getting back out on track and nothing more than a couple of cursory glances back at Zarco. Zarco definitely saw it coming and can be seen preparing for the impact. Andy

  8. Yes and no. He knows the bike is not cutting edge, he also has no chance of winning the championship this year. But he continues to be wreck-less with himself, the bike and more importantly others. He may be physically fit, but his head is in a dangerous place for all others sharing the track with him.

  9. Just caught up with that.

Initial thoughts were after Marquez got up and started running I thought he was going to see how Zarco was, when he just ran past him I thought he must be going to bollock the marshals instead for not doing enough to help Zarco or to wave the flags faster to warn the other riders. Quite astonished when it appeared he just wanted to get back to the pits asap whilst Zarco still on the deck.

BT team suggested Marquez previous lap was quite slow as it seemed he was loitering and waiting for a tow, so tyres lost temp and hence grip.

Can only imagine how that’s all going down with the rest of the paddock.

  10. The crash was totally MM fault. It’s just a racing incident from that blame perspective but he crashed in his own and took out Zarco.

  11. the advise at every track briefing is to not get involved trackside leave it to the Marshals.

Cant have it both ways moaning about him running towards the track and moaning that he didn't stop trackside to attend to Zarco.
He went to him after the session was over. I can also see his point that as Zarco was joining the track from pit lane he should of yielded to the bikes live on the circuit and joined in a bigger space.

They are all as ruthless as one another, that is the nature of the beast.

  12. Poor obvs from Zarco. MM is a racer, best of a generation, moved motorcycle riding to another level, the series has been shit without him, I hope he fucks off from Honda and wins another few world titles.

  13. Bullshit, Marquez ran back up the track and waved his arms above his head to warn oncoming riders until the marshals got there, then walked in the pit exit after seeing Zarco was being attended to.

  14. Yeh it’s daft and I’m pretty sure the same incident has happened before just can’t recall who or when.

You only have to look at the way Jorge Martin was braking into T1 to see how one small mistake can potentially be catastrophic.

As you say it’s “lucky” JZ was aware what was happening and managed to take some kind of evasive action.

  15. I think it might be fair to assume his mind was a tad scrambled having to compute what had just happened. Too many on here too eager to pile on with anything negatively related to MM… so there…

  16. That Honda is unridable as all four riders have experienced through multiple crashes and injuries this season leaving two out of four on the sidelines and the other two always on the limit and a danger to other faster bikes.
Ducati, KTM and Aprilia are clearly in a different league with V4 engines and aero.
I think we are witnessing the departure of the Japanese manufacturers, starting with Suzuki, then it will be Honda followed by Yamaha.

  17. Starting with Kawasaki, then Suzuki, no doubt Honda to follow. It's happened before.

  18. Honda effectively last there as they’ve got twice the bikes on the grid than Yamaha do

  19. Brilliant sprint race.

  20. It was and the fact no one’s talking about it, instead of that Spanish twat is a sad reflection.

Martins move on Pecco and Jack, lol sensational. The man in form and my money would be on him tmrw if I was that way inclined.
