What's it like to get in and out of the circuit? As manic as Mugello? Anyone who has been and can give a few pointers would be much appreciated. I won't be on the bike.
Not too difficult to get in and out, it's not walking distance from Misano or Cattolica really unless you are up for a hike in the heat. There are houses next to the circuit who let you camp in their gardens, Luigi Moto used a good one for WDW2010. It's usually hot, but everyone must remember the year it flooded, it does happen. It is working class Italy on holiday, so remember it's regimented beaches, no wild natural sandy spaces etc. You don't have to head too far inland to get back to normality though.
I went a few years ago, Rossi's last year with Yamaha. We stayed at a fabulous B+B about a one mile walk from the circuit. The circuit is great for spectators and we were able to watch on a raised earthworks that runs between turns 8 & 9 which gives you a great view of most of the second half of the lap. There is also a good grandstand by turn 15. Never been to mugello so can't compare the traffic but would say its no worse than a BSB at Brands. Just more hand gestures and scooters!
I stayed in a hotel in rimini caught the bus to the circuit which was free.after the race walked into misano and caught the bus back to rimini
Hotel Madison in Cattolica. About 45 mins walk to the track. Nice family run hotel. Have stayed there about 10 times now. Madison Cattolica / Hotel & Residence Cattolica
