Anyone know the depth of tread on the front of a new tire? Only I've done 4,700miles on the bike and whilst the rear has about another 1-2k left, I think the front has more left in it. I need to change the rear ready for a 3k trip to Norway in July and fancy changing both to Roadtec 01's, but the tight git in me says just do the rear and then the pair when that's done. To be honest the bike will only ever see Tarmac. Could I sell the front if I change both? What mileages have others got from the fronts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jaybus christmus, you are a fking tight barsteward. Change both & keep your partially usable front for another time!
Although my front trail 2 had life left after 5 thousand miles, it had ridges that compromised handling. I just got shot of both and didn't bother for the sake of £20 worth of front tyre (as that's all the remaining life of the front will be worth). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
