V4 Scottoiler Install Question

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by ymfb, Aug 17, 2022.

  1. I’m thinking about fitting a Scottoiler, I’m fairly lazy when it comes to chain maintenance and fitted V systems on a number of bikes including an MTS, ST4 and Panigale before I had a number of shaft drive bikes.

The photos I’ve seen show the reservoir cable tied vertically to the frame, I’d rather hide it behind something and make it less obvious.

Has anyone fitted a Scottoiler more discretely and prepared to share photos of the installation.

    Thanks

  2. It’s a 2022 V4S Travel & Radar, if that’s important.

I have read the 1260 thread.

  3. Clearly not a popular mod

  4. I've installed a Scottoiler xSystem. I didn't have a lot of time to search for all possible locations and settled on:

I removed an eSystem from my previous bike but couldn't be faffed to remove enough bits to run the cable up to the bars for the display. The xSystem just needs a 12V supply, either switched or "always on". Mounting on the left hand side made the oil feed pipe run relatively straightforward.

  5. I have fitted mine in the same location. Aesthetically not pleasing but easy access to top up reservoir. xSystem works faultlessly.

  6. I’m keen to hide the reservoir but haven’t had time to investigate possible locations.

  7. There was an E sport micro scooter at Louis Moto, which was the same as the electronic E system but with a smaller tank, which carried only 125cc, and which entered the frame of the subframe on the side of the rear shock absorber, but I no longer see it , perhaps you can find or consult the manufacturer, since it is made in UK, here is the old link of the device
