I know screen buffeting issues are well documented here, but in this instance I'm after something to extend my screen. I'm 6'2 and at motorway speeds I can sit in calm still air if I duck down about six inches or so. So it seems I could do with extending the screen up a bit - perhaps with one of those add-on air deflector things. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with trying different solutions? Thanks in advance!

Also like the short one they do - I think I might fit a short screen once the weather warms up a bit. Preferred it on my 2013 1200S, as there was way less turbulence.
Have this screen on now. It's not bad. Not sure the spoiler does that much. Had no luck with taller screens I am 6'3. Think shorter screens better on the whole. Less turbulence. Spend the money on custom ear plugs found this helped the most. l

Agree the Wunderlich screen extender is very well-made but I found made no difference on the 1260ST so removed it. These work much better, I'm 5' 10", on the lowest screen setting: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283194506210

Wunderlich product is excellent, well made and multi adjustable (worth the money) And you can remove it in 30 seconds
Got to say that I agree. I tried a number of screens and this was the best compromise and it used the OEM screen so cheap too. It still isn't as good as I would ideally like (Puig Touring screen on my MV was very good, the same range for the 1260 was terrible) but will have to do.

For years I used an Aerotrim wind deflector on a number of different bikes. It screws on to the top of the screen like the Vario type. I know they are available in the UK from Heroblobs at about 40 quid. They do work too
I agree, they don't look great but the difference when riding 500kms in a day at motorway speeds is phenomenal. Once you get to the twisty lower speed roads you just take it off. I don't bother with it for everyday riding, just touring.
Yes, they are not a pretty sight. But I find a Touratech extender on top of the screen, which is already a taller one than standard, is an advantage. A slight bonus is that the instrument panel is reflected in the extender, giving a "heads up display" effect.
I have tried three different screens on my bike, with or without an MRA Vario spolier on top and not a lot of difference between them. After trying the Givi screen, it was so much better than stock, so I cut down the stock screen and tried that also with the Vario. All of these I have tried with/without a Palmer bracket. End result, I have got the cut down main screen with Vario and Palmer bracket. Still have a little turbulence and wind noise but it is good at sub 100kmh speeds...
Seems like an extender would work for me, on the basis of holding my hand at the top of the screen to deflect airflow. Just wondering if spacers will do the job too...
