Fitted some of Jamie Clare’s screen spacers to my Multi. Wow what a difference. Huge reduction in wind noise. Now I find the wind noise perfectly acceptable. Having said that I do always use ear plugs, on any bike. The spacers were in combination with a Puig sports screen which is lower than the standard screen.
Okay I sweated & traveled almost to the himalaias for this info. £37 a set; I'll have to join in & see how these pan out.
I fitted some to my standard screen (with Wunderlich deflector) for my recent trip to France. Hard to say if there was a huge difference to turbulence as the Wunderlich does an amazing job, but one discovery was that it lets more air around the screen onto your chest (not in an annoying way) and it was cooler to ride in high temperatures
Not great pics but if you look on eBay Jamie Clare has good pics of the spacers. Also eBay or Google for the Puig Sports screen. I got a dark tint, looks good to me.
Yeah, they’re the ones. Basically it’s a small change in the angle of the screen, I noticed an immediate drop in wind noise. I haven’t experimented with the standard screen but it’s probably worth a go. When I pulled the shorter Puig screen up there was less noise and buffeting.
For me the Jamie spacers work well with a Ducati touring screen at its lowest setting. Quieter and good airflow on a recent 28C+ Germany trip.
Made no improvement for me on four different screens. My mates now trying them on his bike and says they have imporved things alittle on his. Go figure. Beats me
I run them as well and have nothing but praise for them, I have the std screen and find the Multi much improved
I've gone with the PP carbon screen with no spacers so I have a set of Jamie's spacers used on two runs with different screens that I will sell for £20 plus postage if anyone is interested.
The mounts from @Jamie Clare via @Vtwin4fun worked perfectly with my enduro puig small screen from conquest racing (trader section). Throws more wind into my face & chest which if I was doing serious mileage would mean I'd wear either ear-inserts or my music kit. Not seen what changes they will make when riding in rain yet. As I wear glasses & an open-faced helmet I will report back my opinion.
Glad they work. I was happy with them and they worked well with a taller screen plus deflector but I found the Ducati carbon PP worked best for me. I'm used to naked bikes or sports bikes with a very low screen so that probably gives reason to my solution.
