Just on the off chance I could put some work your way, I have a HyVid bike camera - good bit of kit, but it took a little knock when the 'berg spa it's dummy regarding a cold, damp track and an over-committed rider... Fair 'nuff really : ) So, apart from a couple of wires coming loose, the SD card slot isn't working any more. The card is supposed to push in and lock, but it doesn't I think it needs a new slot soldered onto the board. Is this up anyones street?
Jerry open it up and check if the spring is still in the slot. I had few slots that broke that way and each time it needed bit of super glue and if you wanted card out easy new small spring.
Jerry I would be prepared to open it up and take a look for you. ( I'm an electrician and used to fiddling around with tiny bits of kit). No guarantee I will be able to fix it, but if something is fixable with a bit of fiddling I'm your man. Depending upon how the card holder is fixed into position and if it's replaceable. I wouldn't be able to spend any time trying to obtain another card holder, but if you could do the sourcing of any parts I would have a go for you. Have you tried contacting the manufacturers to see if they have a repair service btw?
