  1. I’ve looked everywhere to no avail. The seat lock on my 916 is notchy as hell so im toying with the idea of opening it up. But before I do I was hoping to find a few pics of what’s inside to give me an idea of what im in for. Do any of you guys have any pics or point me to some. Thanks.

  2. Same problem here, unlock, lift up a little an then push straight backward the very front of the seat. Do not pull backwards/upward from the rear.
    worked for me.

  3. I slip my hand under and pull the cable on mine. Easier.

  4. Mine unlocked but woulndt slide back….

  5. Yes I know to even just pull on the cable. it’s the lock it’s self I’m wondering about. I’d like it to work as it should. I’ll probably just pull it apart and find out what’s up. It’s just some pics would have been helpful.

  6. So set to it last night. It’s like working on my off road defender td5 90 an hour job lasts all day. And looks like it’s a sticking wafer.

  7. The reason i put my hand under seat instead of using lock is that I lost one of those wee screws.

  8. Pop a load of graphite (powdered) in there as dry lube...

  9. It had quite a bit of grease in it so after degreasing it that’s exactly what I did with the graphite, silky smooth now. But what a pain it the ass to get to. Thanks for the tips lads.
