1200 Enduro Seat Lock

  1. Had my Enduro for 6 months now & absolutely love it after my 2010 Multi S. Got a 12 day trip to Porto all booked with a coupl've mates. However on giving it a bit of cleaning tlc the other day I noticed that the seat lock is 'sticking'. I put the key in the lock to realease the pillion pad and the bloody key just refuses to come out of the lock when I re-position the seat pad. A lot of jiggling, swear words and Hail Marys later and it eventually emerges from the lock. WD40 doesn't have any effect either. It's going into Snell's in a few days to get sorted, but I was wondering if there are any similar issues on the forum?

  2. Wd 40 is a degresant so won't be your best option in my opinion

  4. I do find the key to be a bit of a fiddle to get in and out but so far not had that problem. The rear seat always seems a little tricky to replace too. Lock and seat better on my old Pikes Peak.

  5. Mine actually did the same & broken the entire metal part off of my fob. Which was then retrived from the lock with a pair of pliers that the hospital security had. Allowing me to go home, getting the metal part carefully welded onto a washer. I got a new fob & it key'd but prefer having the small key style for opening the fuel tank. I have always lubed inside my locks after washing the bike.
