1200 DVT Service Light After Removing The Battery

  1. Hi all, looking to get some knowledge after I removed my battery to keep it charged whilst sorting power to my new shed. Reconnected the battery today to have a quick blastotherapy and got the service indicator light and also one next to that which looks like a battery. Is it due to the battery being removed? The bike was serviced earlier this year so shouldn't be due again. Ta
     
  2. I had a similar issue on my 959 a few weeks ago after disconnecting stuff. Try going for a quick ride then cycle the ignition switch a couple of times. Not saying it will defo work with yours but it sorted mine out.

  3. Check and/or set your date and time. The service indicator is generated by calendar as well as mileage.

  4. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give it a go next time I connect the battery or sort power to the shed.....whichever comes 1st.
     
  5. The sort of battery is a calendar.... its because you have not set date and time as Nelly said...
