Evening all Collected my 899 from it's service today, dealer has had it three weeks as it's had warranty work also. No drama just the ducati parts usual lol. Mines a 65 plate and covered 5k, this is my third stamp including the pdi. So really I've had two services... Is the next one the big one? it says on the stamp I got today that the next one is 15k or next year so I'm assuming the next one is the 'penetration service'.. Anyway I've taken a picture of my book because I'm all confused ha ha! What's the going rate for the 'desmo' I'm assuming that's what it's called..
I'm sure someone told me it was the 'third service'? So it's just annual services up to 15k or 5 years?
I just double checked my Multi is a belt change at 5 years of 15k miles, the Panigale Desmo service is 15k miles no matter what age and its 11 hours and 36min labour.
So purely on mileage then rather than age.. thanks bud That's good to know, missus was just about to plan my accidental death this evening I think :tearsofjoy:
You've had a PDi (which isn't a service) before the bike was given to its first owner (you presumably) Then you've had the 620 mile running in oil change service done which gets rid of the thicker oil the bike came with. Then you have had its first annual service done at 1 year old. Next service is due at 15k miles or on 24/10/2017 whichever comes first. If it's done 15k then it would need the 15k service. If it's not done 15k then guess what......
It's also had oil changes between both the services, but I did them myself. Thanks for the clarification, I'm having a thick day today.
Yeah mine has done 3500 miles and was on it's 3rd service as they serviced it at 620 miles then again at 800 miles a year later, and they said they won't do the desmo service on a bike that's not done the miles. All they did say is that there can sometimes be sticky valve seats/guides if the bike has literally sat for months over winter without being turned over but unlikely on these engines. They didn't reset my service trip though which is a bit strange so it's counting down from 3500miles now but I doubt I'll do that by next service so will just get it reset then Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How much is the 15k one gonna cost me? I'm on 12.5 now just had the annual service a couple of months ago.
The Ducati Glasgow provides a clear breakdown of their servicing costs. Dealer prices do vary however. Andy
I was quoted approx £460 for service and valves a couple of months ago. Dealer decided just to do a regular service at 12.5k and do the valves at the next one as I won't be doing too many miles in the next year.
