1200 Enduro Servo Removal Device

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by MotoNik, Apr 18, 2020.

  1. Hi folks,

I'm considering a de-cat on my 2017 Enduro, so just wondering what experience people have of Duc-EE type devices to allow exhaust valve servo removal.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. There are several options open to you, a Duc-EE style device is only one of them. Although mine is a first generation Multistrada, I have a heavy metal cam weight which Leo Vince supplied with their decat system, which is screwed to the valve motor in place of the valve actuator cable cam that operated the cable. It has worked faultlessly since installation in about 2014. Others have just disconnected the valve actuator cable at the valve and put a lightweight spring on the cable which is again simple and functional. Easiest way is to get your dealer to delete it in the ecu. Andy

  3. The Healtech plug in seems to be the most reliable I’ve come cross. You can lose the whole servo if you please and it’s by far easier than the cam route.

  4. I had a Duc EE fitted on my DVT, no issues, just a bit of popping and banging on deceleration, not fitted it to the 1260 yet (but I will)

  5. Healtech one fitted to a 1260 and it’s perfect. As Twin4me said I nice bit of noise on overrun but it’s not very loud so don’t worry about offending people.

  6. I'm not worried about the noise especially - although I like to remain fairly stealthy as much of my riding is rural back roads, and I don't like being obnoxious going through little villages.

I've already removed the disc from the valve, although obviously if I buy a de-cat the entire thing will be going anyway. My intention will be to replace it with a road-legal pipe.

  7. If you’ve already removed the disc then that’s the same effect as a DucEE

  8. Yes, except I want to disconnect the servo cable without having to do the thing with a spring, so I don't get a warning light on the dash.

  9. OK, I understand, yes this will remove the warning light

  10. Can anyone advise where the plug is located for plugging in the Healtech device? I would like to think it's nicely accessible under the pillion seat, but perhaps that's wishful thinking!

Incidentally, I can't seem to find DUC-EE stuff anymore - don't know if they've stopped trading?

  11. Had DUC-EE fitted to my 848 and now moved onto my 939 Supersport. Worked for over 5 years with no problems.

  12. I also had them on my 2013 MTS 1200S and 2016 M1200S, both without issues.
