Sfv4s With Termi's, Could The Termi's Be An Issue In The Eu?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Sicilian, Nov 18, 2022.

  1. Guys,
I'm planning on a tour to Italy next year, my SF V4S has race only Termi's. Could these be a big issue abroad? Am I likely to get fined or anything worse? Or am I worrying for nothing?

  2. had same bike and pipes in france and germany several times and never an issue :upyeah:

  3. We were in Germany in August and yes, certain tourist roads were closed to motorcycles over the weekend bacause of noise. Austria seems to be taking the lead on anti noise during the summer months. Italy ? They seem to have never given a toss. Andy

  4. Oh yes, don't ride through Switzerland. Andy

  5. Switzerland is part of the route :( don't really want to put it back to stock.

  6. Switzerland is at the forefront of regulating speed and 'nuisance' vehicles on mainland Europe. Fines can be eye watering. If it were me, I'd fit additional mitigation for where noise is an issue and remove where it is not. Aftermarket DB killers are available. Andy
(Edited to remove the reference to a Panigale V4 coz I’m stupid)

  9. There are some roads in Tyrol, Austria closed to bikes louder than 95db but in all the rest of Austria nobody cares
