Having now used my new Shark Race-R Pro, I thought I'd write a review about it. So that non-Ducati riders can also benefit from it, I have published it on my blog with the pix and links. So if you're interested in what this fine helmet is like to ride in, you can read about it here: Shark Race-R Pro – a helmet review - The Glidd of Glood Blog
Nice lid. If you can't source the shade of tint you want, you could try combining a light tint visor with a tinted pinlock insert. You might find a combination that works for you.
Thanks for that idea, Rudolph but I have to say that I hate pinlocks. If I've got a whole visor, I want to see through all of it, not just some of it. When you do hairpins on a mountain road, as you look up the road, you tend to use the bit of the visor where there is either no pinlock or the join. Either way it's annoying. I've got so pissed off with the visor issue that yesterday I wrote a long and detailed post about it with many pictures. You can find it here, if ever. It's not just to bore people. It's so that I can send the Shark Facebook administrator there. As far as I can see, that's the only way you can have any contact with these people.
I gave up on my Shark helmet after less than 12 months. The Shark pinlock rebated visor doesnt work. Shark anti fog visor doesnt work. Drop down internal visor not opticaly correct and distorts bision. Chin strap, ratchet clip type, now I know why race helmets have two Ds. Its easy to not clip secutely and can just pull apart. Paint, or rather, stickers chip very easily. Lining coming loose from shell. Basicaly, comfortable but just not up to the job! Will be sticking with Shoei or Arai. More money but streets ajead imo. Got Hornet adv now and quality is streets ahead.
im prob going to kick myself when you tell me but which track layout is that on the right side of the lid? (great review btw)
Thanks. I have to say that I don't know what circuit that is and that I strongly suspect that it doesn't actually exist. That "roundabout corner"? Can't think of many circuits that have one of them. Still. What do I know, eh?
